Adelene Stanley Dancer

Adelene Stanley

Born in Singapore, Adelene begun her training at the School of the Arts where she was exposed to ballet, modern, contemporary and several other dance genres. She later moved to London to train vocationally at Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance where she graduated with First-Class Honours in her BA (Hons) degree.  

Her achievements include several Outstanding Performance Awards in the years 2008, 2009 & 2010. Adelene became Singapore's National Art Council Dance Scholar in 2011. In 2013, Adelene was the sole recipient and winner of the Charlotte Kirkpatrick Prize Award; she then won a scholarship for a summer intensive at the Nederlands Dans Theatre (NDT) in Holland.

Adelene has worked with international choreographers such as Robert Cohan CBE, Mark Baldwin, Ivan Perez, Dr Ross McKim, among others. She danced the principal role in Mark Baldwin's 'Rite of Spring' in 2013 as the opening for Rambert Dance Company's Triple Bill at Sadler's Wells Theatre. Amongst other interests, Adelene also enjoys creating and choreographing. She was invited to present her self-choreographed solo at LUZ as part of the Solos Dance Theatre event held in Poland. 

Adelene was an original cast member of INALA and is excited to be back dancing for its second season of tours.
