Mark James Biocca

Mark is Italian/British and currently dances with Companhia Nacional de Bailado in Portugal. During his career he has danced a variety of Classical and Contemporary leading roles including: The Prince in The Sleeping Beauty and The Nutcracker, Don Jose in Carmen, the lead male in Serenade, works by Keersmaeker and Molnar as well as creations by David Nixon and Jean Grand-Maitre.

Mark attended the Royal Ballet School from 2001 to 2004 during which time he performed with The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet companies. He joined Northern Ballet in 2004 and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in 2007. In 2008 he joined Alberta Ballet as a Soloist. In 2011 he performed as a guest Principal with the Nacional Ballet of Macedonia dancing Swan Lake and Don Quixote, touring across Italy.

He has also taught and choreographed in both the UK and Canada and was a founding member of the company Arts in English in Rome, Italy.

He is currently dancing with The National Ballet of Hungary in Budapest.
