Ashleigh Wilson Dancer
Ashleigh Wilson grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and danced from a young age with Bridgitte Reeves and Barbara Holden. In 2008 she was awarded a bursary to train at the Royal Academy of Dance and visited London for the first time. She then trained with Martin Schönberg, director of Ballet Theatre Afrikan in Johannesburg. In 2010 She accepted an apprenticeship with the SemperOper Ballet in Dresden, Germany and appeared in Premières of the work of William Forsythe and George Balanchine. She then moved to Berlin to dance with the MDR Deutsches Fernsehballet (German TV Ballet) touring extensively across Europe and appearing in front of millions of people on prime time television. She moved to London in 2013 to work with Peter Schaufuss Ballet on a Danish tour of Satisfaction, appearing in soloist roles. She has also modelled for Charlie Le Mindu, Johnson & Johnson and L'Oreal and danced in collaboration with Levern Botha of Jazzart, Sabia Khan of Tacheles Arthouse in Berlin and Cape Town City Ballet.
