Lowri Shone Understudy Dancer

Lowri Shone

Born in Winchester, Hampshire, Lowri started dancing at the ‘Sally Stanyard School of Dance’ at the age of 5. She was awarded a scholarship to study dance at ‘Tring Park School for the Performing Arts’ when she was 11. While studying there she danced with several international companies, including two consecutive years performing 'Young Clara' in English National Ballet's The Nutcracker, choreographed by Wayne Eagling.  Following 5 years at Tring Park, Lowri gained a place at ‘English National Ballet School’ in London. While at ENBS, she toured the UK with English National Ballet's ‘My first Ballet, Coppelia’, choreographed by George Williamson.

Since graduating ENBS in 2015 Lowri has worked extensively as a freelance dancer. Recently she danced in Disney's new feature film ‘Nutcracker and the Four Realms’, choreographed by Liam Scarlett, and performed in Alfred Taylor-Gaunt's dance comedy ‘Derrière on a G-string’. Last year Lowri danced as a soloist with Garsington Opera.

Lowri is excited to be working with Sisters Grimm for the second time after understudying their show ‘Voices of the Amazon’ in 2017.
